This route quickly became known as the jerk route. The name fits because it is right next to the white witch route with similar attributes and frustration. It probably took 20 attempts before I “nailed” this one down. The first five I spent getting above the yellow right hand blob. The remaining 15 on the small right hand lump three holds from the top. After about the 10th shot, I could consistently get to this lump every time but not past it. In the end, chalk is what put me over the top. First time I used chalk in a top rope route and I get it. I guess that stuff does work. If you’re élite, I know that I cheated at the top grabbing the bar and skipping the last hold, save your breath for your 10 pitch trads.
